Short answer: Under Florida law, the carrier must acknowledge your claim within 7 days, communicate decisions within 30 days of acknowledgment, and pay undisputed amounts within 60 days of proof of loss. The ultimate pay-or-deny deadline is 90 days from notice, unless the carrier shows factors beyond its control. Late payment accrues interest at the judgment rate.
