Who we are
Ocean Point Claims Company, LLC is a Florida-licensed public adjusting firm operating under FL DFS License #W829547. Founded by Eli Goins in 2008, the firm has grown into a seven-person operation serving policyholders across every Florida county: from Keys to Panhandle, and every city, coast, and inland community in between.
We represent homeowners, condominium owners, HOAs and condo associations, commercial property owners, and business operators in property insurance claims. We do not represent insurance carriers. We do not represent restoration contractors. We do not take Assignment of Benefits (AOB) transfers. Every client relationship is direct representation of the policyholder.
What we do
End-to-end property insurance claim representation for Florida policyholders:
- Claim intake and documentation: full property inspection, photography, moisture readings, thermal imaging, drone and Matterport capture as appropriate.
- Policy review: identify every applicable coverage, endorsement, sublimit, exclusion, and deductible.
- Xactimate estimate preparation: same platform the carrier uses, with Florida-current labor and material pricing.
- Direct negotiation with the carrier on scope and pricing.
- Appraisal, DFS mediation, and Civil Remedy Notice when the carrier will not pay fairly.
- Loss consulting for Florida first-party insurance attorneys.
- Pre-loss policy audits identifying coverage gaps before a loss occurs.
Why we only represent policyholders
Public adjusters are the only licensed professionals, outside of attorneys, who can represent you in negotiating a property insurance claim in Florida. A company adjuster is employed by the insurer. An independent adjuster is retained by the insurer. A public adjuster works for you.
That exclusivity is the entire point of the profession, and it shapes every document we produce and every conversation we have. When we walk a property, we're documenting for your claim file, not the carrier's. When we prepare an estimate, we're using the same platform the carrier uses, with the same pricing data, scoped to the full damage we actually document, not what the carrier's field adjuster decided to capture in their rushed initial inspection.
How we work
Our operational discipline is captured in the Ocean Point Claim Protocol™: a systematic 7-stage methodology from free claim review through final settlement. The Protocol is the reason our outcomes are consistent; it's the operational backbone behind 17 years and 500+ mediations.
For each claim, we assign a specialty-matched lead adjuster. Water damage routes to Anthony Barber. Hurricane and major-event work routes to Eli Goins. Cast iron, polybutylene, and legacy-plumbing claims route to Jacob More.

Where we work
Ocean Point's headquarters is in Hobe Sound on Florida's Treasure Coast. Our licensing is statewide, and our adjusters work claims across Florida's regions: South Florida, Treasure Coast, Gulf Coast, Central Florida, Space Coast, North Florida, Panhandle, and the Florida Keys.
For major events: hurricane cycles, tornado outbreaks, regional hail storms: we deploy across the affected areas and handle claims originating in the impact zone, with particular focus on supplemental and reopened claims filed within the 18-month and 1-year statutory windows respectively.

How to start
Every engagement begins with a free claim review by a licensed Florida public adjuster. We evaluate the claim, explain whether representation is likely to improve your outcome (we say so when it isn't), and walk you through what engagement would look like: no up-front fees, no obligation, no high-pressure sales.
