Short answer: Generally yes. If a tree damages a covered structure, like your house, detached garage, or fence, the resulting damage is covered. Removal of the tree is covered too, but typically only when it actually struck a covered structure, and subject to per-tree and aggregate caps. A tree that falls in your yard and damages nothing usually isn't covered for removal.
What's covered
- Damage to dwelling from fallen tree
- Damage to other structures (detached garage, fence, shed)
- Removal of tree that landed on a covered structure
Removal sublimits
Most Florida policies cover tree removal only if the tree struck a covered structure, and typically with a per-tree cap (commonly $500-$1,000) and aggregate cap ($1,000-$5,000).

Trees in the yard
A tree that falls in your yard and damages nothing is typically not covered for removal.
